Preventing dental cavities through a holistic approach involves considering not only oral hygiene but also your overall health and lifestyle factors. Here are some holistic tips for cavity prevention:

Balanced Diet: Consume a diet rich in whole foods, fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins. Limit sugary snacks and beverages, as sugar can promote cavity formation.

Hydration: Drink plenty of water to maintain oral moisture and help rinse away food particles and bacteria.

Oral Hygiene: Brush your teeth at least twice a day with medium bristles brush and fluoride toothpaste and use floss or interdental brushes or water flosser to clean between teeth, two time per day if you have bleeding gums, or one time if everything is ok.But always go to the see a hygienist for professional clean and accept their advice hoe often you should visit them.

Oil Pulling: Some people use oil pulling (swishing oil in the mouth) with coconut or sesame oil to reduce bacteria, but its effectiveness is debated.

Avoid Harsh Mouthwashes: Commercial mouthwashes with alcohol can disrupt the oral microbiome. Consider using natural or alcohol-free mouthwashes if you have a bleeding gums but only two times per day for two weeks.

Probiotics: Consuming foods with probiotics, like yogurt and kefir, may promote a healthy balance of oral bacteria.If you must take antibiotics always take probiotics with them to protect your gut.

Xylitol Gum: Chewing gum with xylitol can help reduce cavity-causing bacteria in the mouth.

Herbal Remedies: Some herbs like neem, clove, and tea tree oil are believed to have antibacterial properties and can be incorporated into your oral care routine.

Stress Management: High stress levels can contribute to dental issues. Practice stress-reduction techniques like meditation and yoga.Try face youa and gua sha method of jawline massages-its wonderful and very helpful with clenching.

Regular Dental Checkups: Visit your dentist for regular checkups and cleanings to catch and address any issues early.

INSTRUCTIONS TO PATIENTS AFTER IMPLANT PLACEMENT PROCEDURE

The comfort and successful healing following implant placement can be greatly enhanced by adhering to these important instructions:


• Take no more then 2 Ibuprofen tablets each 400 mg every 8 hours for pain management,or as needed along with 500 mg paracetamol tablet and also complete the full course of antibiotics if you were prescribed to take them by us.
• In case of minor oozing or continued bleeding, apply gentle pressure to the area with a gauze pad you will be given by us to take home. Repeat this process for 15 minutes, up to 3-4 times. If bleeding persists, please contact the dental office immediately.
• Elevate your head with an extra pillow while sleeping for the first 2-3 nights to minimize potential swelling.
• Apply ice packs over the operated area for 15-20 minutes, but not exceeding a total of one or two hours within the first two days. This will help reduce swelling any potential effectively.
• Refrain from smoking for two weeks after the peration, as it can significantly impact the success of
the implant placement.
• Avoid consuming alcohol for four weeks after the operation, as it can impair the healing process.
• For the first 24 hours, avoid hot liquids and minimize physical exertion, ensuring you get sufficient rest.
• Commence warm salt rinses the day after procedure (using 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon salt in a cup of warm water) every few hours, holding each rinse against the affected area until the heat dissipates.Especially rinse after   each meal, always gently rinse your mouth with warm salty water

• Follow any instructions if personally given to leave dentures out until they can be re-lined with a soft lining material.
•The day after procedure start brushing your teeth but refrain from getting toothbrush in the area where the implants were placed to prevent loosening stitches, and avoid exploring it with your tongue.

• For the first few days , stick to a soft diet including boiled fish, scrambled eggs, pasta, rice.
• Continue taking prescribed vitamin supplements and ensure a balanced diet.
• Please contact us immediately if you experience any numbness lasting over six hours, lose or lost
stitches, excessive pain or bleeding.We will promptly arrange a visit as we are after all the next door and not a flight away....
